Who I Am and What I Do
My Background
My name is Sarah and I qualified in Holistic Therapies in 1999. Back in those days, Reflexology , Massage therapy and so on, were not as well known and even considered a bit 'out there'. But I found it all fascinating and still do! At this point, I did some work in the Holistic Health field, but it was still very much on the 'sidelines' of most people's awareness.

Fast forward to 2009. At this time I wanted to gain further insight into body mechanics, treating injuries and more specific massage techniques. Therefore, I qualified in Sports Massage and Therapy, undertaking a 2 year course at Hereford College of Technology (as it was known then), I then worked with my own clients and with a local Rugby Club as Sports Physio.
Following this, I worked in London and honed my skills working in luxury spas such as The Bvlgari Residence, The Dorchester Spa, Intercontinental Four Seasons and Relax Covent Garden. This gave me the opportunity to work alongside therapists and clients from all over the world , to use fabulous product ranges and undergo the accompanying in-house training.
I have built my skills by continuously investing in my professional development and over the years have attended many courses, provided by recognized industry trainers. In 2022 I gained the MLD Practitioner Diploma and trained in the Elemis product range. I have also recently completed training in treating lower back and neck pain, as well as Traditional Thai techniques.

My training and experience gives me the knowledge and confidence in my abilities to address your issues. I give an honest appraisal regarding timescales and recommended number of treatments if applicable, as well as advice on exercise and lifestyle if needed.

After a short break, for maternity leave (extended by Covid), I returned to the world of massage and set up Wye Valley Massage Therapies, where I combine the skills and knowledge I have gained , coupled with the desire to provide an exceptional customer experience .
